Community leaders in Ross-on-Wye will be meeting to discuss what can be done in the face of the cost-of-living crisis.

People were supported over the last Christmas and new year period will the help of resources pooled from local community groups, and Tim Shelly hopes the same can be done for the cost-of-living crisis.

One of the main reasons for this style of collaboration is to make sure that various local organisations aren’t duplicating efforts, but rather combining them to most effectively help residents.

Tim Shelly told the Gazette: “How do we as a community together work and explore together how we can meet the needs of our local community.” He added that it’s not just about food, but the overall cost of living, including keeping people warm and sheltered.

Councillors, doctors, social prescribers, community groups, and a number of influential community figures are going to work out the best plan for helping people in the town. Whilst this initial meeting it not open to the public, people are invited to send in suggestions to Tim at [email protected].
