Lee and Nicola Bennett, who live in Ross-on-Wye, are embarking on a 30 mile bike ride challenge on Sunday, May 12th to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. Lee and Nicola know how vital charities like the British Heart Foundation are, and know personally how important their work is. Lee lives with congenitally corrected transposition of the great arteries (CCTGA) which is a rare heart condition affecting less than 1% of all people with heart defects.

To help raise funds for the British Heart Foundation as part of the sponsorship for their bike ride, they have organised a Charity Quiz Night on Thursday, May 9th at the Prince of Wales in Ross-on-Wye.

Nicola said: “Please come and join us for an evening of quizzing and laughter to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation.

“We already have a variety of prizes such as vintage champagne, florist vouchers, bottles of wine, dining and cream tea vouchers, family days out, hair and beauty vouchers, and a term of yoga, with much more promised, such as garden centre vouchers, artwork from talented local artists and more.” Quiz tickets can be bought at the door at £5 per person, and each entry receives a raffle ticket; raffle tickets are 50p per ticket.See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
