Alan and Pauline Jordan are set to leave the country on December 22nd in order to take up new vocations in Kenya.
The couple held a commissioning service on Sunday, December 2nd at Ross Baptist Church, followed by a lunch with friends.
The Rev Neil Bennett, along with Rev Alison Mackay, the regional minister representing the Heart of England Baptist Association, and Tim Matthews, the director for mobilisation for Africa Inland Mission, conducted the service. Promises were given by the church to support the couple and that vowed to help and support the church in Kenya by training pastors who will guide their own people.
Following their realisation that they were being called to go to Kenya, to work with the Africa Inland Church, Alan finished working at John Kryle High School and Pauline finished working at Gorsley Goffs School. After visiting and writing to many local Churches and Christian charities they now have full financial support. Alan said: “It has been a journey of over two years to arrive at this stage of readiness but God has blessed us with patience and faith to believe that He has perfect timing.”
