A Ross-on-Wye dog owner won a prize at Crufts with his Welsh Pembroke Corgi, Magnus.

Kevin Dover, from Bailey Lane End, won the Best of Breed award at the weekend’s event at Birmingham’s NEC.

Kevin, who has been taking part in Crufts for over 43 years now, told the Ross Gazette that it was, as usual, a ’hectic’ time for him.

Kevin’s prize winning dog has been entered into the Best of Breed category previously, and has been shortlisted before. Kevin said: "This is Magnus' fourth year at Crufts; he's won Best of Breed three years on the trot and he's the male breed record holder. He rises to the occasion and he loves it."Kevin is chuffed with the win, and looks forward to taking part in Crufts in the future. He said: "Crufts is the major show and there's a lot of overseas competition. You really get the best of the best."
