The Ross Gazette’s Sports Person of the Year 2014, Kris Saunders-Stowe, has been nominated for the Positive Role Model in the disability category at the 2016 National Diversity Awards.
Kris is a group exercise instructor at Wheely Good Fitness and an inspiration to many disabled people to retain or become as fit as they can be, regardless of their disablity. He has also taken part in marathons, including London, to raise funds for the charity, Scope.
After the initial nomination people can vote or endorse the nomination with their own reasons for supporting Kris. After the closing date all nominations and endorsements are reviewed and shortlisted - people are then shortlisted based on a combination of vote numbers and the reasons of endorsement.
All those who make the shortlist will then be invited to attend a televised black tie awards ceremony in Liverpool on September 16th.
Kris told the Gazette he is thrilled at the number of votes he has already received but hoping for more. Voting closes on June 20th, to vote or endorse Kris visit www.nationaldiversityawards
