SEVERAL local residents have contacted the Ross Gazette concerned about the condition of the wooden footbridge over the Rudhall Brook in Ross.
The wood is rotting away in several places and people are concerned that it could cause falls or serious injuries.
As this is a very popular walkway from Edde Cross Street to the swimming Pool area there is a concern that anyone walking here, especially in the dark, could trip.
Herefordshire Council told the Ross Gazette that someone visited the site to inspect it as soon as they were aware of the issue.
Another resident contacted the Gazette concerned about the erosion on the bank along the footpath which runs alongside this brook.
He said children, people on mobility scooters and dog walkers all use this path regularly, at the very least it needs some warning signs.
