Two Ross-on-Wye funeral businesses have combined their teams and facilities to work from one newly-refurbished funeral home in the town.

The established team from Abbotsfield Funeral Directors and Dawe Brothers Funeral Directors will continue to provide their service to local families from the well-known Cantilupe Road funeral home.

Long-serving Funeral Director Jo Gardiner will be supported by Funeral Arrangers Jess Meek and Diane Jones, providing the highest quality care to the Wye Valley and South Herefordshire communities.

Jo has worked in the town for ten years and is a regular supporter of the local branch of the Royal British Legion and St Michael’s Hospice in Hereford.

The team from the re-named Abbotsfield and Dawe Brothers Funeral Directors invites local families to pop in for a chat to see their modern branch facilities.

They are holding an open day on Monday 11 November from 10am to 3pm, with a blessing for the refurbished chapel of rest at 12 noon.

The investment has also included refurbishing the arranging room, as well as a complete external facelift for the building. The business has also recently replaced its fleet of funeral vehicles.

Abbotsfield and Dawe Brothers have been part of the Funeral Partners family of quality funeral homes for several years. Area Development Manger Gill Hedley says: “Both Abbotsfield and Dawe Brothers are established names with strong reputations in Ross-on-Wye.

“The same funeral team will continue to provide the same exemplary levels of care and commitment to local families and the community.”

Abbotsfield Funeral Directors and Dawe Brothers Funeral Directors also have funeral homes serving the city of Hereford, with Dawe Brothers’ Hereford branch also having been recently refurbished.
