The Annual General Meeting of the Ross and District Walking Group was held earlier this month. Preceding the meeting was a three mile walk around Gorsley, followed by coffee in the Ross Golf Club. Both the walk and the meeting were well attended by over half the membership.

David Mason, the retiring chairman, reported on a successful year, with a variety of walks graded to suit the needs of the 98 members. In general there were two walks every week ranging from under five miles to over 10 miles, with an average of 16 walkers each time. New members are always welcome.

Martin Hudson was elected as the new chairman and both past and present committee members were thanked before the meeting closed and a buffet lunch was served.
