A team of local ladies have completed the Pretty Muddy Race for Life in Cheltenham.
Louise Stephens, Lisa Dean, Morgan Dean, Pat Duggan, Jenny Dobson, Michelle Trotman, Nikki Jenkins, Kate Hardwick and Chloe Hardwick all entered the race together, to show support for Cancer Research UK, and to help raise money for this amazing charity which has helped so many people.
Each and every member of the group has been directly affected or knows someone close to them who has been diagnosed with cancer.
The ladies decided to take part in the race together, after Lisa and Louise’s mum, Sue Stephens, was diagnosed with lung cancer in April 2016.
Everyone in the team is connected to Sue in one way or another; she is Nan to Morgan, sister to Pat and Jenny, best friend to Michelle, a very close family friend to Nikki and a close friend to Kate and Chloe. The ladies entered the race under the team name SOS (Save our Sue).
In total, the team have raised approximately £1500, which they are amazed and deighted with.
Team SOS and Sue Stephens has had so much support and they would like to thank everyone who donated, cheered them on, or sent them kind messages.
