There has been many comments on social media recently, regarding the lack of stalls at Ross-on-Wye Market which is held on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Mary Sinclair Powell told the Ross Gazette: “If anyone wishes to have a stall they do not need to have a business or trade – they just need to fill in the application form online (Ross Town Council Website) or from the Corn Exchange and produce proof of £5 million public liability insurance.
“They can trade as many times as they like – paying their pitch fees on the day. However, it is nice to know if people who are trading, and have filled in their forms etc, would like to trade on specific days so I can ensure a pitch is free for them.
“The more they trade the more likely they will have a regularly allocated pitch.”
She added that: “Costs start at £17 for 6ft rising per size of stall.”
“Regular traders who sign up permanently get a different rate but they have to agree to let me know if they are not attending.”
