The Mayor of Ross on Wye Councillor Harry Bramer and his Mayor’s Consort, Ms Marie Ward visited Ross Court in Ross-on-Wye on Friday, December 7th for their annual Elves Day.

The Mayor and Mayoress were delighted to speak to several residents and were impressed, not only by the cheerfulness of all present but also by the impeccable standards set by the staff.

Ross Court had organised the Elf Day to raise money for the Alzheimers Society and raise awareness of dementia. Members of staff and residents alike joined in by dressing up for the occasion and enjoyed wearing their elf costumes and hats for the day.

Cllr Harry Bramer took up the offer of an invitation to the festivities and enjoyed a cup of tea and a mince pie. He also took the time to speak to all the residents and had a full tour of the home.

Ross Court held a Secret Santa Raffle and raised money from selling tickets along with other crafts and gifts. The total raised was £105 but this was added to the total raised at the Ross Christmas Fayre on November 25th which brought the total up to an amazing £175.
