The first Ross-on-Wye parkrun of 2020 will take place on the morning of Saturday, January 4th with the course getting the go-ahead despite the recent wet weather.

With the last parkrun being held on Saturday, December 7th, local runners will be keen to get back out there and make the most of the drier conditions with the bad weather recently causing several cancellations throughout December in the build-up to Christmas.

The course is 5km long and is at Ross-on-Wye Sports Centre, with the course consisting of two and a half laps around the perimeter of the sports field on mainly flat grass land.

The run is a free weekly event run on Saturday mornings, and is not a race against other runners but rather a 5km timed run making it more accessible and enjoyable for all runners.

It is easy to join with first-time runners only needing to register once before their first run.

The run starts at 9am and is open to people of all ages and running ability.
