Friends and supporters of the three intrepid pensioners who are tackling the Three Peaks this weekend came out to wish Colin Leggate well as he prepared to set off early this morning, Friday, July 1st.

The climbers will be driven to Fort William ready for their climb up Ben Nevis, starting at 5pm they will then have 11 hours to drive from Ben Nevis to Snowden via Scafell Pike and the walkers have 13 hours to ascend and descend the Three Peaks.

The group have taken on this challenge to raise funds for The Little Princess Trust, The Motor Neurone Disease Association and The Friends of St Mary’s.
