Rowing enthusiasts will be delighted to see a picture taken at Ross Regatta gracing the front cover of the latest edition of the Rowing and Regatta Magazine. The official magazine of British Rowing for June and July has a picture of the famous Ross view with rowers in the foreground on the front.

Then, inside the magazine, there is a feature called Summer Racing which looks at six traditional river regattas and these include the Ross-on-Wye Regatta organised by Ross Rowing Club.

Martin Gough looks not just at the competitions but also how much enjoyment there is to be had during regatta season.

The main picture which introduces the feature is of the Ross Regatta field, taken from above.President of Ross Rowing Club Jeremy Picton Tubervill described the Regatta, which last year attracted almost 1,000 competitors as the “last hurrah before the dreaded head season.”This year the Ross Regatta takes place on August 26th and 27th.
