Round Table makes its grand return next month in Ross-on-Wye and is on the lookout for new members.

After a 15 year hiatus, the Ross-based group is relaunching and looking for men aged 18 to 45 to come along to their fortnightly socials.

A group of men in their 20s have collaborated to give other men in the area somewhere to socialise and do more with likeminded men.

Thomas Pearson, one of the founding members, said: “It’s a place for men in Ross to come and speak with other men like themselves and have a good crack while doing it.

“I’ve been a member of Hereford Round table for a few years and i’ve seen what good it does and there just wasn’t anything like this locally and so I set it up.

“There isn’t anywhere for young men to to go just to have a laugh and do something positive in the community.

“If you are new to Ross or you don’t have friends from school, it is so hard to meet new people and so that was my inspiration behind it really.”

The group meet every other Monday at 6:30pm to do a range of activities, all within 30 minutes of the town. In the summer the activities are more outdoor based, including raft building and go karting. In the winter the members do inside based activities like brewery tours and play pool.

“You name it and we will be doing it this year, there’s something for everyone to participate in,” Thomas added.

On Monday, March 18, the group will be celebrating St Patricks Day with a casual get together. Everyone attending will be wearing something green.

On Monday, April 8 is the AGM which will include the official setting up of the club, closely followed by their first official social on April 22.

Memberships start at £40 a month, along with a £25 starting off fee. For more information about joining, visit https://m.facebook.com/people/Ross-on-Wye-Round-Table. Contact a founding member of the club through the Facebook page to inquire about joining.
