Members of the Ross Branch of the Royal British Legion attended a training session with the Under 8s Ross Junior FC team at the Sports Centre recently.

They wanted to thank the team for their continued support by having the RBL logo on their shirts.

The young footballers were each presented with a goodie bag which included the Ross Remembers WW1 Commemoration Medal which they were delighted to receive. The Branches connection with the team started in 2014 when they took part in the Ross Remembers tribute to the Christmas Truce Football Match, which took place in 1914.

On this very special day 80 local children took part and were each awarded a medal presented by Gen Sir Peter De La Billiere.

Margaret Jones, Branch Secretary, added that they were very proud to be linked with the team and wished them every success in the future.
