A group of Slimming World members from the Ross-on-Wye area walked two and a half miles of the John Kyrle Walk on Sunday as part of the campaign to Step all over Cancer.

The group included the Mayoress of Ross-on-Wye, Gill Gibbs, and the walk was started by the Mayor, Nigel Gibbs. Gill is a target member of the Ross Slimming World group after losing two stones.

The group included several target members as well as those who are well on the way to reaching theirs.

Government guidelines recommend everyone should try to walk 10,000 steps a day and Slimming World has been doing its bit to encourage all members to do as many steps as they can.

Everyone taking part in the Step all over Cancer walk was sponsored and the money raised will help fund a search for more cures, improve treatments and help people avoid the disease altogether.
