Liz Everall is hoping to raise a further £500 to push her fundraising efforts, for her local churches and the Alzheimer’s Research Charity, to £4000 by skydiving.
At the age of 66, Liz is planning on conquering her fears and on June 1st, at Old Sarum, Wiltshire, she’s skydiving from 15,000 feet in aid of two charities, Alzheimer’s Research UK and Tretire with Michaelchurch and Pencoyd Churches. She told the Ross Gazette: “ARUK is a very deserving charity; we all know the distressing consequences dementia can bring to families and ARUK believe that medical research can, and will, deliver life-changing preventions, treatments and, one day, a cure for dementia. Alzheimer’s Research UK exists to make this happen and with your support, they’ll make those life-changing breakthroughs possible.”
The other charity is also dear to Liz’s heart. Keeping church buildings in good repair for future generations is always difficult, especially for very small rural communities, and readers of the Ross Gazette have often generously supported fundraising endeavours in the parish, including the China Sale and annual Cream Teas come to mind.
Liz is hoping that some generous Ross Gazette readers will also sponsor her. You can do this online at her page
