Walkers and wordsmiths are coming together in a unique strolling and storytelling project as part of this year’s Wye Valley River Festival, which runs from April 29th to May 15th.

Writers, walkers, historians, storytellers and anyone else keen to create fascinating, animated short walks are invited to attend a special event. Workshops will be held on March 12th and March 26th in the Dennis Potter Room at Ross Library, between 11am and 1pm.

They will also take place at Llandogo Church on March 10th and April 2nd in the Meeting Room at The Main Place, Old Station Way, Coleford.

This exciting collaboration between walkers and writers will explore walking in a different and creative way, harnessing local knowledge and taking advantage of the fabulous landscapes of the Wye Valley. Walks will be devised to complement the locations of the Wye Valley River Festival, a biennial event inspired by the landscape and led by the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) unit and arts professionals working with local communities.
