After securing their future in the Gloucester Premiership next season, there was an opportunity on Saturday for Ross to relax and enjoy their rugby against a side only one place above them in the league table, Ross however were outplayed by a rampant Frampton side who ran out comfortable winners 43-7.

It was Ross who started the brightest, with Huw Bellamy and TC Leech running the ball out of defence it looked early on as if it would be Ross that would enjoy the hard ground and the sunshine, yet once Frampton had opened the scoring after 15 minutes it was one way traffic, Ross worked hard in patches but Framton were ruthless when they sniffed an opportunity and they ran tries in regularly throughout the encounter, Ross did exert some pressure midway through the second half which saw Chay Brine cross for a try, but it was Frampton who finished the stronger and Ross were glad to hear the final whistle.

The games come thick and fast with Drybrook on Tuesday 13th at home 6.15pm kick off, and then Gloucester Old Boys on the 17th at  home with a 3pm kick off, both at Ross Sports Centre.

The Walford timber man of the match was Captain Gavin Oates.
