Ross Photo Club have held their sixth competition with the theme of ‘Textures’.

There were lots of high quality entries which were judged by Rob Hislop. 

The results are as follows: 

In the colour category, first place went to Sandra Walding with ‘Roof Tops’, second place to Roger Irwin with ‘Driftwood’ and third place to Chris Hawkins with ‘To the Point’. Highly commended were ‘Pheasant Sale’ by Gordon Hay and ‘Tangled Silks’ by Barbara Nash. Commended were Allan Ockenden’s ‘Containers’ and John Crowland’s ‘Nash Point’. 

In the Mono category, first place was awarded to Gordon Hay’s ‘Hoping for a Treat’, second place to Allan Ockenden with ‘Kiev Beach’ and third place to Chris Hawkins’ ‘Hair of the Dog’. Highly commended was ‘Leaf’ by Chris Phillipson and ‘Pastoral Scene’ by Roger Irwin. Commended in this category went to Phillip Gray’s ‘Running Water’ and Barbara Nash’s ‘Dried Roses’.
