A staggering and record breaking 491 Santas took to the streets for this year’s Monmouth Santa Fun Run, which took place on Sunday, December 3rd, 2017.

This year the Fun Run raised money for its chosen charities, Sense Cymru and the Monmouth and District Foodbank.

The popular event started at the Monnow Bridge and followed the same route as last year - heading up the high street, across Vauxhall fields and then back to the Monnow Bridge - covering a distance of 2.1km.

The Fun Run enjoyed closed roads again this year and was supported by Monmouthshire County Council and Welsh Athletics. As always, there was lots of volunteer marshals along the way to cheer on the participants and ensure everyone’s safety.
