ROSS rocked out in style on Saturday as crowds of over 4,000 flocked throughout the day to the very first Ross Rocks, brainchild of late and sadly missed, Alan Wood. Alan, however, was there in spirit. "He said it was going to be a good day," said his partner, Tina, (pictured above right with Alan's daughter, Sarah) talking to the Ross Gazette. "And it was. Everyone was brilliant." Tina, who hasn't sung live for eight years, sang a self-penned song, 'Home is where the heart is', a favourite of Alan's to an appreciative crowd.

His vision was to create a day for all the family and for the wider community, and this was achieved by the efforts of Tina, the dedicated Ross Rocks Committee, sponsors and all the Ross rockers and rockettes. Plans are already underway for another Ross Rocks in June 2012. See this week's Gazette for a full report of the day.
