Once again Ross has shown that it is a food lover's paradise in a county famed for its wonderful produce and places to enjoy it.

Once again a large number of finalists and winners in the prestigious Flavours of Herefordshire Awards are based locally.

Winner of the Gastropub of the Year was the Mill Race at Walford. There were two winners of the Restaurant of the Year, Wilton Court Hotel and The Loughpool Inn, Glewstone Court Country House Hotel was commended.

Glewstone Court was also a finalist in the Breakfast of the Year section alongside Orles Barn. The New Inn was commended and The Red Lion was a finalist in the Pub of the Year. The winner of the Retailer of the Year was Pengethley Farm Shop and Truffles Delicatessen, based in Ross town centre was commended.
