A Ross-on-Wye teenager is celebrating after finishing in the top three of a national dance competition.
Isabella Long competed in the Champions of Tomorrow event at the world-renowned Blackpool Dance Festival on the weekend of 8-9 January at Blakpool’s iconic Winter Gardens.
The nationally televised competition attracts a high-class of dancers from some of the best dance schools across the UK.
Despite the fierce competition, Isabella competing with partner Liliana Kovacik finished 3rd in the Under 14 All Girls Ballroom Waltz, Tango, Quickstep competition and also managed to secure 5th place in the Under 14 All Girls Latin Cha Cha Cha, Rumba.
Isabella is part of South Wales dance school Dance Crazy Studios, and is sponsored by local business Tracy and Chloe Nails. Opened in 2002 by Principal Joanne Crane over the years Dance Crazy Studios has built up a reputation as one of the UK’s largest and most successful dance schools.
Speaking to the Ross Gazette, Isabella’s dad Robert Long said: "I’m delighted that Isabella has done so well in such a prestigious competition competing against other top-level dancers. She works so hard and I’m very proud of everything she has achieved."
