AN EVENT to celebrate National Play Day in August is being hosted by Ross-on-Wye Town Council at the Ropewalk in August.

The event on Wednesday August 6, features giant games comprising Jenga, chess, noughts and crosses, Connect Four, croquet and a buzz wire will be available to test children’s skills along with a giant deck chair to pose for a family photograph or have a rest after playing games. Families can also enjoy a traditional Punch and Judy show or have a go at circus skills. An exciting day with lots of entertainment and it’s all free.

The event has been made possible from funding received from Department of Work and Pensions through Talk Community, Herefordshire Council and Ross Town Council. All the activities are free to attend.
