Ross Town Reserves made the long trip to Dore Valley on Saturday, October 25th, and lost the match 4 - 1.

Ross started slowly, being second to every ball and they were soon made to pay for this when Valley's Captain scored with a fabulous long-range drive.

This was the wake-up call Ross needed. They began to control the game, keeping the ball on the floor, holding possession well.

Unfortunately though, the Ross Reserves became their own worst enemy, as they have been in recent weeks. They began to argue with the referee, the opposition, and finally with one another. This gave Valley the chance to get back on top and their pressure paid off when town gave away a silly penalty which was converted to make it 2 - 0, a lead they took into half time.

After the break town calmed their tempers and started to play football again looking very strong in possession. But, as in recent weeks, they struggled to convert their possession into goals.

With Town pushing forward to get back into the game, a quick break by Valley gave them a third goal.

Town never gave up and they got back into the game with ten minutes to go, Jon Leech was tripped in the corner and a well-weighted cross was met by the head of in-form Cookie Carr.

The goal soon became nothing more than a consolation though when Town's keeper Andy James was shoved in the back when a corner came in, allowing a simple tap in to make the final score 4 - 1 in Dore Valley's favour.

Security Alarm Services man of the match was James Innes. Next Saturday, November 1st, Ross Town Reserves are away to Ledbury colts in League 2.
