The Water First Responders from Ross-on-Wye joined a firecrew from Hereford to rescue a couple who had become trapped in their vehicle by flood water on Sunday, December 20th.

Fire crews were called at 5.52pm to the junction of Watery Lane and Lower Bullingham Lane in Hereford.

A boat from Hereford fire station also attended the scene and was deployed during the rescue.

Police and ambulance services both attended, and Highways have been requested to reassess the road signage in this area.
