Over the last two weeks several incidents have been reported to the Police by young women who have been offered a lift by a man claiming to be a taxi driver.

Between 10pm and 11pm on 7th December in Walford Road, a white man with a bald head, driving a Black BMW approached a young female who was with her friends. He said he was a taxi driver from Hereford and asked if they wanted a ride home. The girls refused and reported the incident to the Police. This was the fourth incident of a similar nature that has occurred within the last two weeks. On the previous night at approximately 11pm a bald man with glasses, wearing a suit and driving a black BMW with blacked out windows, approached a young female in Brookend Street asking her if she wanted a cab, which she refused. There were no taxi markings on the vehicle and the Police do not as yet have a Registration number.
