Eager Scouts, Beavers and Cubs from across the Three Counties of Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire will be able to receive a unique Occasion Badge at this year’s Royal Three Counties Show. The show has introduced this exclusive badge to reward members of the scouting community for their support of the landmark agricultural event.

Ken Nottage, Chief Executive of the Three Counties Agricultural Society, said: “It is wonderful to be launching our very own Scouting Badge. As two Great British icons, this is a chance for the Royal Three Counties Show to join together with the Scouting world to celebrate the wealth of outdoor potential we have in our area.

"Embracing the great outdoors is at the heart of the Scouting community and we too are deeply passionate about championing the opportunities in agriculture and engaging the next generation in the future of farming. We hope to reward lots of Scouts, Beavers and Cubs over the weekend as they immerse themselves in the event.”

This exclusive badge can be redeemed by Scouts attending the Royal Three Counties Show this June. Aligning with the values of the Three Counties Agricultural Society, the badge celebrates the bounty of potential the countryside and agriculture has to offer people of all ages and backgrounds.

To receive the badge, Scouts will complete a vibrant line up of activities during their visit to the show. This includes visiting the Discover Sheep area and creating a work of ‘baaaa-art’. Scouts will also visit the energetic Sports Village and drop by Go Faster Foods to learn about how to keep energised while being active. Interactive challenges are also included with time spent in the Imagineering area and the new WhiteSpace Pop-Up Arctic Space Flight Research Laboratory.

The badge is open to Scout, Beaver and Cub packs within the Three Counties. Packs can register their interest by completing an application form. Completed applications must be returned by 3 June 2015 and can be downloaded from the Three Counties website at: www.threecounties.co.uk/threecounties/options.php?id=171

Parents are also invited to come along to the show with an exclusive offer. Each Scout can redeem a pre-booked discounted adult ticket at £15. These tickets are available in advance through a Scout Leader.
