A 43 year old man has been charged with affray and the cultivation of cannibis following an incident in Hoarwithy on Monday evening, July 23rd.

Officers were called to a domestic incident in the village at around 1.30am following reports of a drunken male wielding a samurai sword. A dog response unit and officers equipped with tasers arrived in what has been described as 'a scary incident'. A man was subdued with thea taser before being arrested at the scene. He is due to appear before Hereford Magistrates Court on August 8th. A woman was also arrested at the scene.
