THE festive spirit in Walford will come alive as Santa will be arriving in the village in his husky-drawn sleigh.

The destination will be Walford Village Hall, which will be transformed into a magical Winter Wonderland for its popular annual Christmas Fayre on Saturday, December 6.

The highlight of the day will be the arrival of Santa Claus, who will make a spectacular entrance at midday to officially open his enchanting grotto.

Families are invited to join in the fun and enjoy a wonderful festive afternoon from 11am to 2pm, packed with craft stalls, delicious food, and plenty of Christmas cheer.

As you enter our beautifully decorated village hall, you’ll be surrounded by festive music, and plenty of Christmas cheer.

The grotto will be open from just after noon to 2pm, with entry priced at £3 per child, including a gift from Santa himself.

Visitors can browse a wide variety of craft stalls featuring hand-made gifts, jewellery, paintings, cards, Christmas decorations, and beautiful artificial flower arrangements — perfect for last-minute Christmas shopping.

To keep spirits high, guests can also enjoy turkey, stuffing, and cranberry rolls, along with a tempting selection of seasonal refreshments.

Entry to the fayre is free, though donations to the village hall are warmly welcomed. There will be ample parking available on site.

Event organiser and hall trustee Anthony Jones said: “We were blown away by the support at last year’s Christmas event, and this year promises to be even more magical.

“Santa’s husky arrival is bound to be a highlight – families won’t want to miss it. The hall is at the heart of our community, and we hope everyone will come along, support us, and enjoy a fantastic festive day.”

Other attractions include craft stalls, a raffle and face painting for children.
