NEARLY 50 scarecrows impressed visitors to Longhope with a show of creativity.
The 47 figures were a record number for the third biennial festival organised by the Friends of Longhope Church (FOLC).
The scarecrows ranged from a wedding couple to Donald Trump, drawing hundreds of families from the Forest and beyond.
The competition was judged by Caroline and Simon of the Friends of Westbury Church with first prize going to Longhope Manor Care Home, second to Theo Johnson’s Bob the Builder and third to the bowler at Longhope Bowls Club.
FOLC Chair Tina Coull said: “the event continues to grow in popularity and imagination year after year.
“The creators went all out—raising the bar with exceptional craftsmanship and creativity.”
