Madam, What a negative response to such a wonderful opportunity to put Ross-on-Wye on the map of places to visit, and make it a gateway to Herefordshire.
Walenty Pytel is a world-renowned sculptor, and has been commissioned by royalty. His sculptures are highly coveted the world over.
He lives in Bromsash, and wants to give something back to his community, and he has come up with a passionate idea that should be nurtured.
The cost of this inspiration is going to be met in full by a Japanese company.
If I was Walenty Pytel, I would be sorely tempted to take my sculpture down to the outskirts of Monmouth and use it as a promotion for 'Welcome to Wales'. And Ross will miss out once again.
