The town’s Christmas tree in the market Place, Ross-on-Wye, will be a colourful sight this year as the white lights have been replaced by more colourful ones. Councillor Daniel Lister told the Ross Gazette the Town Council has organised two trees this year, one at the end of Brookend Street, outside the Enviroability shop which will be decorated with the white lights. They are grateful to the charity for agreeing to house the tree and brightening up that end of town.

The Christmas tree in the Market Place is the second to arrive this week. The first tree had been damaged since being chosen but was replaced immediately. The Town Council is grateful to the Rotary Club of Ross who sponsor the tree and Balfour Beatty for their help in putting it up.

A new star has also been added to the top of the tree.

The lights will be switched on during the Christmas Fayre on Sunday, November 24th, which runs from 11am to 5pm.
