Madam, How the folk in Hereford make a mess of their town is none of my business. But I do object to being made to pay for stupid propaganda in this waste of taxpayers money called 'Herefordshire matters'.

"You may be asked to sign a petition that seeks to stop the revitalisation of Hereford," it says; over the name of Councillor Roger Phillips from the wilds beyond Leominster. It seems the local shopkeepers are against the Edgar Street Grid. Worse, while skipping along the edge of a cliff, he wants £650 million.

The unrepresentative caucus, of which he is the leader, is not famous for getting things right and it would probably pay the voters to do the opposite of anything he says. But, either way, he should pay for his political squabbles himself.
