Residents in Kyrle Street, Ross-on-Wye have contacted Herefordshire Council and Welsh Water in regards to a sewage pipe which is cracked in Kyrle Street Car Park.

A resident told the Gazette that the pipe often leaks, and the sewage runs down the road at peak times, erupting in the evenings when people are home from work and using their “facilities”. She added that the issue has been ongoing for eight years.

Welsh Water have reportedly cleaned up the site multiple times, and were seen temporarily repairing the pipe on Tuesday, July 24th with waterproof tape.

The Ross Gazette is still waiting for an official statement from Welsh Water in regards to the long term plan to fix this sewage pipe.
