Many of the independent shops in Ross-on-Wye have got together this year for the great Christmas Give away. Organised by members of the Association of Ross Traders, Helen of Essential Sewing Services, Sally of @Broad Street, Sue of Gallery 54 and Elaine of Lainey Handbags, the scheme is a plan to revitalise the high street and reward all those loyal shoppers who visit the many and varied independent shops in the town.
There are at least 20 shops taking part in the scheme, all of them have posters in their windows as well as badges and more information inside their stores.
The shops all have their own great festive deals, customers have to spend a certain amount to be entered into a draw in the shop, you could win a whole range of prizes from afternoon teas to a sewing machine.
In addition to the individual stores there is a main draw that all those making purchases will be entered into as well. The prize for this is £100 to spend in any of the independent shops taking part in this special promotion.
The winning ticket will be drawn over the weekend of Saturday, December 15th to Sunday December 16th and the winner will be announced on Monday, December 17th, just in time for a last minute splurge in these fabulous shops.
The four organisers are all keen to encourage people to visit the shops and see just what they all have to offer.
In addition they have also been involved in organising the Christmas trees outside local shops which make the town so festive.
