Madam, I would like to publicly thank all the people who turned up to help collecting signatures for the Minor Injury Unit Petition against the cuts in hours.
The helpers were at times overwhelmed with the numbers of shoppers who wanted to add their support to the petition, the stand was open at the store from 8:00am to 8:00pm.
The team were really pleased with the positive response to the campaign. We collected over 2,000 signatures, bringing our total up to around 5,700.A big thank you to Morrisons for allowing us to use the foyer of their store, without this we could not have achieved these numbers
If you want to add your signature to the petition there are forms at the doctors surgeries or you can call in at the Town Council offices.
I am hoping to be able to present the petition to the Board, on behalf of the People of Ross-on-Wye, some time in January. The MIU Campaign continues. Please give it your support.
David Ravenscroft, Mayor of Ross
