What would you choose to best showcase what Herefordshire has to offer the world? That is the question Anthea McIntyre, who represents the county in the European Parliament, has been working on.

Anthea has secured the main exhibition space in the parliament building in Brussels for a prestigious exhibition celebrating the very best of Herefordshire.

She has sought local views as to what should be showcased and she has asked Abigail Appleton, principal of Hereford College of Arts, to curate the exhibition.

Conservative Miss McIntyre, who is an MEP for the West Midlands region, said: “This will be nothing to do with politics. It is simply an opportunity to present Herefordshire to the whole of Europe and other parts of the world.

“The centre of the parliament is very busy, and with 110 square metres of exhibition space we have the chance to highlight the many facets of Herefordshire.”

She hopes that the showcase will emphasise that Herefordshire is a great place to do business and to visit to sample the cultural diversity which we have to offer.

The exhibition will be open from February 18th to February 22nd, 2019.

What would you put in an exhibition to highlight what Ross-on-Wye has to offer? Reporter, Aliya Shibli, will be heading to Brussels next month to experience the exhibition. Get in touch by emailing [email protected] to share your views.
