The sixth silhouette representing the British and Empire service men and women who gave their lives during the First World War has been put in place.
Graham Aplin, Chairman of the Ross branch of the RBL met sponsor Lt Col Ian R Gumm TD to see the Silent Soldier which has been placed by the side of the RBL planter in Broad Street.
The ‘Silent Soldier’ campaign has been organised to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War. The RBL would be pleased to hear from any more sponsors. Until April Ian was responsible for the planning for the World War I memorial events in Wales and is still serving as Dep Cl for Cadets in wales.
