Karla Page from Ross-on-Wye has had her hair cut to help two local charities after her mum’s best friend and auntie were diagnosed with cancer.
Karla had been growing her hair for two years when she decided to have the chop to celebrate her 30th birthday. She has raised £65 for Breast Cancer Haven, and has donated over 13 and half inches of hair to the Little Princess Trust.
Karla said: “I love the new style created by Matt at Reds in Ross, we had a lot of fun capturing each stage of the process and making videos along the way. I’d like to thank all at Reds who have helped me and guided me with how to keep my hair in a good condition so that I was able to donate it. I hope that the money raised goes a little way to help the charities with the amazing work they do!”
The Little Princess Trust provide real hair wigs, free of charge to children and young adults who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses.
Breast Cancer Haven is a charity which offers free help and support to anyone affected by breast cancer.
