Nick Richmond, the departing Administrator who works at St Mary’s Church, Ross-on-Wye, came across a nest tucked at the top of the Church’s tower this morning, Friday, May 10th.

He has not yet seen or managed to identify the bird that the eggs belong to, but he told the Ross Gazette that instead of looking to see it nesting, he won’t disturb the nest again.

Those who work at St Mary’s have joked that a ’new maternity wing’ has opened at the Church.

One spokesperson said: "We wish the family all the best for the safe arrival of their chicks!"
