St Joseph’s RC Primary School pupils welcomed the Archbishop of Cardiff, George Stack, to their school on Friday, July 13th.

The Archbishop celebrated Mass with the school and then enjoyed lunch with the children, staff and governors at St Joseph’s.

In the afternoon the Archbishop visited classes and found out what the children had been learning about this term. Each class had prepared a special performance for him – singing songs and reciting poems.

Headteacher, Mrs Hayley Francis, said: “The children thoroughly enjoyed hosting the Archbishop’s visit and showcasing their wonderful school, which they are very proud of.

“The day was a huge success; a memorable occasion for the whole school community.”
