PRIOR to attending last week’s meeting of Ross-on-Wye Town Council Steve Mackay, the assistant Police and Crime Commissioner joined PC John Townsend on patrol in the town to see firsthand how officers are tackling issues that matter to local residents.

This included the ongoing work to address anti-social behaviour to responding to concerns about speeding.

Mr Mackay heard that local officers are committed to making Ross a safer place for everyone.

At the town council meeting, Mr Mackay encouraged councillors to share their views on several topics, including hare coursing, through the PCC office’s Town and Parish Council survey.

He said their feedback will help shape future policing priorities and ensure communities have a strong voice in local policing.
