OVER the Bank Holiday weekend Ross Rowing club played host to one of the premier Regattas in the country, comprising the Junior/ Masters event on Sunday and the main regatta on Bank Holiday Monday. The entire event was preceded by a very successful Dragon Boat racing competition which had over eight crews from regional rowing clubs and four local crews.
Club Chairman Bryn Hughes commented: "This year we yet again raised the standard for delivering an incredible event. We are delighted that the reputation of the club and its regatta has such standing that it attracts thousands of competitors to the town. Hundreds of competitors this year took the opportunity to camp using the club facilities and being blessed by near perfect river conditions and weather meant an excellent day was had by all."
