The first Herefordshire Armed Forces and Veterans’ Breakfast Club, in Hereford on Saturday, April 1st, was a success.

The group, which was started by Lynne Gladwin, gives Herefordshire veterans, their families, serving military personnel and war widows, the opportunity to meet up once a fortnight to form links with each other.

Lynne told the Ross Gazette:?“Saturday went really well. I had around 30 Veterans and their families.”

Lynne added that she received good feedback from the visitors. “They said they’d come back,” Lynne said.

The breakfast club will take place once every two weeks on Saturday mornings. The next one will be held on Saturday, April 15th, from 9.30am at Gilbies Bar and Bistro.

The Breakfast Club is not a charity, and not for profit. Attendees can simply come along to the sessions, pay for what they eat and drink, and sit and chat for as long as they like.
