After waiting for the courts to de-frost, both the Mens and Ladies 'A' teams were in action on Sunday, the Men against Stourbridge and the Ladies against Leominster, both in Division One of the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Winter League. Play started when the thermometer was still reading minus one degree!

The Mens team had somewhat diminished prior to the start of the match but it goes to show the strength in depth that there is at the club that a competitive side was still able to be raised at the eleventh hour. Partnering each other for what was worked out to be the first time in over twenty years were Allan Meek and Chris Friend, and they were joined in the team by Tom Shotton and Richard Jones.

The first round of matches could not have gone better as Allan and Chris beat the Stourbridge first pair 6 - 3, 6 - 4, and Richard and Tom beat the second pairing by an identical score.
