Dear Editor,

Following our fundraising family fun day & auction evening in memory of Lydia Cole, the family just wanted to express our thanks to everybody that made it a very successful day. We are all overwhelmed with the immense support of everybody that helped make the day so special as our first fundraising event to raise money for The Lydia Cole Foundation.

We would like to thank everybody that attended on the day and evening, everyone that has sent in donations, donated raffle prizes, donated auc- tion prizes, helped on the day, bought and helped sell raffle tickets, our team of very skilled face painters, everyone who bid and to those who won all of our auction prizes and all of the people and local businesses that have shown their ongoing support for the foundation.

A big thank you to the Oates family for donating all of the inflatables and the bar for the evening, Ross fire crew for bringing along the fire engine for everybody to enjoy, as well as Pan Pizza and Simon Cutter for providing the food at the auction evening.

Following the event we are very pleased to announce that our total raised so far is a staggering £4231.35 with donations still coming in. This is above and beyond what we were expecting and we just wanted to express just how grateful we are to everyone for making the event so successful. We will be making this an annual event to raise money for the Lydia Cole Foundation each year on her birthday. Here’s to next year and thank you again.
