Police in South Herefordshire confirmed that they were called to investigate the sudden death of a 59-year old man from Gloucestershire staying at the Royal Hotel in Royal Parade, last week.

He has been named as Miles Berkeley of Lydbrook.

Police were called at 12.20pm on Thursday, September 3rd, by ambulance staff. The Fire Service was also called as a precautionary measure and several items were removed from the room the man was staying in.
